Gracie has been with 3 other greys and myself since Thursday night. She is doing very well and has settled in nicely. She is just one of the pack. She loads into the car with no problems, knows about stairs, treats and stuffies. She has a very good appetite and loves treats. She has had no problems in the house and has learned to be quiet in the crate. She prefers to sleep in the room with me but has accepted that she has to be in the crate. She walks well on lead and loves to be with her person. This is a very loving little girl. When I sit down she comes up and lays her head in my lap. She did very well at M&G and seems to like children altho I think she would do better in a calmer, quieter home. She can be a little shy at first but warms up very quinkly. She seems to get along well with small dogs and cats. This is a very cute and sweet little girl.

Got my City Dog Certification

I'm a real city girl now. Minding my manners on the sidewalk, walking on a loose leash, not spooked anymore by busy traffic, and looking beautiful for my public.

You may have seen me out and about - I stay busy in the Belmont neighborhood, drop by the grocery store often, go to Hillsborough Village for extra attention, have a few favorite outdoor coffee spots, and am a regular with insiders' privileges at my neighborhood hardware store.

Now this is the life. Gotta run, see you soon. - Grace

Wow what a whirlwind!

Hi Greyt Friends,

It's been a wild time since my bath at Dizzy's on July 18 and I'm running behind on my blogging but aim to pull into the front of the pack. Still have that competitive edge!

First things first:
I'm trying to live down my reputation as Bad Lady because I'm actually a super sweetheart (my foster mom says so when no one is listening, plus a whole bunch of other nice things). So I've been answering to Grace and Gracie - who needs more Grace than a Bad Lady, huh? But seriously, my grandmother's name is Miss Gracie Allen so it's all in the family.

What a surprise to come home to my bigger, older brother (by a few minutes) Cooper (Blur of Fur). We're litter mates and have our 4th birthday coming up soon. It was a rowdy reunion with lots of running and jumping and playing. (Have to say he isn't much for barking for joy but I'm working on that.)

He was pretty far ahead of me on mastering the van, the steps, the hardwood floors, the comments from neighborhood dogs, and the kibble (what's with that?! - food shouldn't be so crunchy if you ask me...where's the beef?) and he has been a greyt coach. He's also been a really good sport about sharing his people with me, and his toys. But he draws the line at rawhide. Fortunately I have a stash of my own and a new collar and bed and blanket and rugs to roach on and hugs and kisses galor. Have to say the retired life is strange but I think I could get used to this.

More soon (got to go figure out how to make those stuffies squeak),
-Grace (aka the mini-Cooper)
